About the CCMUN Conference

The annual CCMUN conference is returning yet again! Known as a beginner-friendly conference, it is designed to introduce new delegates entering the circuit to the MUN experience with enticing committees to spark passionate debate.

This year's CCMUN edition will include three committees: your traditional General Assembly, Specialized Agency, and Crisis committees.

Land Acknowledgment

The Champlain College Model United Nations Club’s secretariat would like to acknowledge the land on which they are hosting the 2024 CCMUN conference. The Champlain College campus is located on Indigenous land that has, for centuries, served as residency, trading, meeting as well as cultural and spiritual grounds. The executive team and entire staff of CCMUN respect, honour, and support this land and the people to whom it belongs, the Haudenosaunee and Mohawk. We strongly encourage all participants to visit https://native-land.ca/, which provides information on Indigenous lands and communities, as well as https://www.haudenosauneeconfederacy.com/ and https://mbq-tmt.org/ to learn more about the Haudenosaunee and Mohawk Indigenous communities.

Equity at CCMUN 2024

Dear Delegates,

While open discussion and debate are central to the Model United Nations experience, it is important to approach sensitive political matters with the utmost mindfulness and consideration. Political issues discussed within the scope of the conference often reflect real-world conflicts that impact the lives of individuals and communities globally. As such, delegates are encouraged to engage in dialogue that is respectful and acknowledge the complexities human realities underlying these issues.

Additionally, CCMUN is committed to maintaining an environment that is inclusive, welcoming, and respectful for everyone. As such, any form of discriminatory behavior including sexist, racist, or otherwise harmful comments will not be tolerated. Our goal is tocreate a space where all delegates can engage in constructive and respectful conversations, fostering mutual understanding and cooperation.
