Champlain College Model United Nations

Letter from the Secretary General
Dearest Delegates, Faculty Advisors, and Staff,
It is my absolute pleasure and honour to welcome all of you to Champlain College’s 11th annual Model United Nations conference.
As Secretary-General, I am honoured to witness the continued growth of this conference and the dedication each of you brings to your committees. Whether you are stepping into your first session or returning to test your crisis skills, CCMUN is designed to challenge and inspire you while providing a welcoming space for learning and connection.
This year’s committees will take you across a wide range of worlds and issues. From tackling the urgent realities of fast fashion in the General Assembly to stepping into the competing perspectives of the colonization of Quebec, you will explore how negotiation and diplomacy shape our shared histories and futures. For those seeking the fast pace of crisis, you may find yourself strategizing in a universe filled with familiar animated faces or uncovering the secrets hidden beneath the calm surface of a medieval village. No matter where your committee takes you, each session is an opportunity to think critically, collaborate, and grow as a delegate.
Above all, CCMUN is about creating a space where you can challenge yourself while respecting and learning from others. I encourage you to embrace the uncertainty, think creatively, and allow yourself to take risks during debate and negotiation. It is your energy and ideas that will make this conference a success.
On behalf of the Secretariat, thank you for your participation. We look forward to seeing the passion and creativity you bring to CCMUN.
All the best,

Laura Fortin,
Secretary General of CCMUN 2025
